The Humancentric Coach Residency
For accomplished professionals building their second act as a coach.
Most people spend three to five years pivoting into coaching — certifying, then fumbling toward their first clients, their first proof, their first sense that this can actually work.
The Residency compresses that entire journey into one guided arc: master the craft with Master Certified Coaches at a 7-day overseas retreat, coach real clients under supervision, gather your testimonials and track record — and leave with your practice ready, yours to take into the world.

What You Leave With
Six months from now, this is in your hands:
Real client experience.
A pool of real clients, matched through our ecosystem — coached by you in supervised sessions, with their testimonials earned along the way.
A track record — before day one.
Filmed and written testimonials from real clients and your peers, professionally gathered. Proof most coaches take years to earn.
Your brand, on film.
Professional headshots, footage of you coaching, a brand reel, your story — plus a featured guest appearance on our podcast.
The foundations of a coach.
Mindset, skill sets, and lived experience — trained in person by Master Certified Coaches through the Humancentric Approach™. You leave able to hold conversations that create real impact — and like all true competence, it grows sharper every time you practise.
A practice of your own making.
A clear blueprint and direction for your positioning, your website, your client engine — built by you, in guided working sessions, with our playbooks and masters beside you. Not done for you. Done by you.
Momentum for the road.
Six months of advisory, direct faculty access, and an ecosystem that opens doors: corporate engagements, facilitation, our coaching panel.
The Real Problem
The certificate was never the hard part.
Every year, thousands of capable professionals decide to make coaching their second act. They certify. They print the credential. And then they discover what nobody told them:
- The first client doesn’t come from the certificate
- Confidence doesn’t come from the classroom — it comes from evidence
- A practice isn’t built by a logo and a LinkedIn update
- And doing it alone, in the evenings, around a full life, takes years — if it happens at all
The typical journey from “I want to coach” to “I have a working practice I believe in” takes three to five years. Most people stall somewhere in the middle — certified, capable, and stuck — not because they lack skill, but because they lack clients, proof, and a plan.
The Residency exists to collapse that journey. Not by cutting corners — by removing the wandering. Every stage that pivoting coaches normally stumble through alone is designed, guided, and walked with you by people who have built their own practices and developed coaches for twenty years.
The Promise
By the end of your Residency arc,
four things will be true.
You will be genuinely good — and know it.
Trained in person, in depth, by Master Certified Coaches. Not competent-on-paper. Able to sit with any human being and create real movement.
You will have evidence — for yourself.
Real clients, coached by you, under MCC supervision. The private question every career changer carries — can I actually do this? — answered with receipts, not affirmations.
You will have a track record — before you begin.
Testimonials from real clients and peers, professionally gathered. A filmed body of work. Proof most coaches take years to accumulate, in your hands on day one.
You will have a plan — and a practice, ready.
Your positioning, your brand, your website, your first client engine — built with guidance, not left as homework. Nothing standing between you and your first paying client except your own decision to begin. And that decision is yours.
This is what the Residency is a relief from: the years of figuring it out alone. It’s for people committed to creating impact in this world — who want to get on with it.
The Offer
The Five Pillars of Your Second Act
Everything in the Residency is built on five pillars. Remove any one, and a second act stalls. Together, they’re why our graduates are practice-ready in months, not years.
Pillar One
Mastery
Rigorous, in-person training with Master Certified Coaches — beyond any single methodology.
The 7-day overseas residential retreat and 2-day Singapore graduation intensive: the full Humancentric curriculum — the Humancentric Approach™, PACE Mindset™, BLOOM Skill Sets™ — deepened by the great traditions of human development: Gestalt, Process-Oriented Psychology, Ontological and Narrative coaching, experienced through innerwork, somatic practice, and daily supervised coaching. A guest master joins each cohort. MCC and PCC faculty in the room from breakfast to fireside.
Produces
Skill, depth, and a coach you’d trust with your own life.
Pillar Two
Evidence
Real clients. Real sessions. A track record before you start.
Through guided client matching — powered by the same ecosystem behind our Coaching for Good initiative, reserved here exclusively for Residents — you are matched with real clients and coach them in supervised sessions with faculty debriefs. We then guide the testimonial process itself: how to ask, what to capture, from clients and peers alike. Professional videographers and photographers capture your coaching, your presence, and your story — your Practice Asset Pack. And you’ll be featured as a guest on our podcast — your story and your perspective as a coach, published and shareable as part of your professional presence.
Produces
Proof. For your clients-to-be, and for yourself.
Pillar Three
Direction
A discovery before you begin. A blueprint before you build.
Before the retreat, we sit with you one-to-one: where are you now, what does your second act actually look like, what do you want your practice — and your life — to be? Your Residency is then shaped around that answer.
Produces
Clarity on the destination, so every subsequent step compounds.
Pillar Four
Readiness
Everything built. Ready when you are.
We don’t hand you a workbook and wish you well. In guided working sessions, you’ll build your positioning, stand up your website, and set up your first client-acquisition engine — guided, hands-on, by people who have built and marketed their own practices and programs. Guided, not done-for-you: you’ll leave knowing how to run it, not just owning it. Alongside this, we map your ICF ACC route with you — mentoring hours, client hours, application, timeline — so you always know exactly what’s left and how to finish it.
Produces
A practice that’s ready for the world — and a coach who knows how it works.
Pillar Five
Momentum
Six months of advisory. Direct access. A cohort for life.
Monthly group advisory calls for six months after the retreat — faculty and peers reviewing your progress, unblocking what’s stuck. Direct access to your faculty in a private Residency group. And a cohort of twelve who did the deep work with you.
Produces
Clarity on the destination, so every subsequent step compounds.
The Roadmap
Five stages. One guided arc.

Inside the Retreat
The Craftsmanship of a Coach
This is, at its heart, a coaching program — and the retreat is where the coach in you gets built.
The core of the seven days is the craft itself, built on three things no great coach can skip:
The Coaching Mindset
The shift from fixer to facilitator — how a coach sees people, holds space, and trusts the person in front of them.
The Coaching Skill Sets
The Humancentric Approach™, PACE Mindset™ and BLOOM Skill Sets™: deep listening, powerful questioning, and navigating a full coaching conversation from opening to breakthrough to close.
The Lived Experience
You will coach every day, and you will be coached, deeply — because you cannot take someone deeper than you’ve been yourself.
A taste of the coaching landscape
You’ll also experience what the different branches of coaching look and feel like — life coaching, executive coaching, behavioural change coaching — so you leave knowing the territory, and where you want to stand in it.
A taste of what lies beyond
And you’ll get flavours of the wider world of inner work — Gestalt, Process-Oriented Psychology, Ontological and Narrative approaches, and typologies like MBTI, Enneagram and Human Design. Not the curriculum — the horizon. Enough to know what’s out there, and what you might explore next in your own development as a coach.
And one seat at the faculty table stays unannounced.
Each cohort is joined by a guest master — a distinguished teacher from the wider world of coaching and human development. Different each year. Never announced in advance. Some things are better arrived at than read about.
We don’t publish a timetable. The rhythm of the
We don’t publish a timetable. The rhythm of the week — teaching, practice, innerwork, reflection, rest — is designed down to the hour. But we’d rather you arrive curious than briefed.
Beyond Graduation
The Ecosystem Pathway
The Residency sits inside a working coaching ecosystem: certification programs, corporate coaching and leadership engagements, and a community of practising coaches. Graduating Residents don’t just leave with our credential — they become part of that ecosystem, with real pathways forward:
Corporate Coaching Engagements
Priority consideration for paid coaching opportunities arising from our corporate and enterprise work, matched to fit and readiness.
Facilitation Pathway
Invitations for suitable graduates to train and serve as facilitators within our programs.
The Humancentric Coach Panel
Eligibility to join our professional coaching panel, with collaboration opportunities across the ecosystem.
Lifetime Community
Peer circles, masterclasses, the learning portal, and the annual alumni gathering.
We are, quite literally, invested in your success: the better you coach, the stronger our ecosystem becomes. Few things align incentives better than that.
Is the Residency for You?
The Residency is built for:
- Second-act builders — accomplished professionals pivoting into a coaching practice who refuse to spend three to five years figuring it out alone
- Leaders preparing their next chapter — executives and business owners designing what comes after the corporate arc, with coaching at its centre
- Committed self-development practitioners — people for whom the deep inner work is the point, and a practice may follow
- Impact-driven professionals — who’ve decided their remaining working decades should mean something to other people
It is not for you if:
- You want a certificate, not a practice — our 6-month Humancentric Coach Certification Program will serve you better, and we’ll happily point you there
- You’re not ready to be fully present for the 7-day retreat and engaged across the 6-month arc
- You want it done for you — the Residency is guided, rigorous, and demands your participation at every stage
Curriculum Highlights
Six modules, woven through the retreat and graduation intensive.
What coaching is — and isn’t. The ICF Core Competencies, ethics, and the fundamentals of a human-centric coaching relationship.
The Humancentric Approach™, the PACE Mindset™, and the CARE Skill Sets™ — the frameworks at the heart of the program.
Innerwork, somatic practice, and process-oriented work — the coach as the instrument, developed deliberately.
Navigating a full conversation — contracting, listening beyond words, powerful questions, and closing with commitment.
Working with resistance, emotion, and the moments where transformation actually happens.
Ethics, standards, and launching your practice — your first clients, your asset pack, your positioning, and your first 90 days as a working coach.
Seven faculty across your residency — and every one of them has done what you’re setting out to do.
Your faculty aren’t career academics. They are Master Certified and PCC coaches who built their own practices, led their own transitions, and have spent two decades developing coaches across Asia. Over the course of your residency arc — retreat, graduation intensive, mentoring, and advisory — you’ll work with all of them. When they guide your build, they’re describing roads they’ve personally walked.

Why This Exists
Why This Residency Matters to Your Second Act
You’re not weighing a program. You’re weighing the shape of your next chapter.
The obvious value is time. The slow road — three to five years of certifying, second-guessing, and assembling credibility alone — spends the one resource a second act can’t renew. The Residency collapses it into six months.
But if speed were all this was, you could simply hurry alone. What the slow road can never give you, at any pace, is this:
Live-tested knowledge.
Your faculty didn’t read about building a coaching practice — they built their own. Every piece of guidance you receive about positioning, clients, and craft has been paid for by someone else’s years of trial and error. You skip the mistakes because someone in the room has already made them.
A network you’re inside — from day one.
Most new coaches spend years on the outside of the profession, looking for a way in. Residents start inside: faculty who know you personally, a cohort walking beside you, a professional panel, a corporate coaching ecosystem, a community of practising coaches. Not contacts — a working ecosystem with real engagements moving through it.
Readiness when opportunity arrives.
This is the part that matters most. Opportunities flow through this ecosystem — coaching engagements, referrals, facilitation, collaborations. And when one reaches you, you’re not scrambling to look credible. Your track record, testimonials, brand, and credential are already in hand. Preparation meets opportunity — by design, not by luck.
The years you save are real. But what this residency really gives your second act is a proven path, a living network, and the readiness for the doors that open.
This is a relief for people committed to creating impact in this world.
Real Stories. Real Human Transformation.
Learning to be present changed everything — my marriage, my parenting, and even how I speak to myself…
— Head of Operations, Public Service
This program helped me see patterns I’d carried for years. Letting go of them gave me a new sense of freedom…
— Educator & Team Lead, Social Sector
The depth, presence, and care in the training was unlike anything I’ve experienced…
— People Leader, Healthcare Sector
Admission
One cohort. Twelve seats. Once a year. By application.
We keep the cohort to twelve — which means admission begins with fit, in both directions.
Apply
A short written application: who you are, what your second act looks like, and what brings you to this work. It takes about twenty minutes — enough for us both to sense whether there’s a fit worth exploring.
The Private Conversation
If your application suggests a fit, you’ll be invited to a 30-minute conversation with our program director. No pitch — a genuine exploration of your next chapter and whether the Residency is the right vehicle for it.
Decision
If it’s a fit on both sides, you’ll receive your offer and cohort details. Your seat is confirmed on acceptance — and your one-to-one discovery session, Stage 1 of the Residency itself, begins from there. Full cohorts roll to priority consideration for the following year.
